Overview
A classification of inventory level discrepancies discovered when performing an inventory count.
Benefits
Properly categorizing your the inventory discrepancies offers the following benefits:
- Allows you to track how much loss is attributed to each reason. e.g., spoilage, theft, etc.
- Reasons can be mapped to general ledgers (GLs) in your accounting system so that Brew Ninja can make journal entries in your accounting system to correct the value of asset GL's.
Fields
| Name | Name of the discrepancy reason. |
| Readonly | Indicates if the category cannot be edited. |
| Description | Arbitrary description of the discrepancy reason. |
Special Categories
| Default | The fallback category. Discrepancies that do not have a category assigned to them will be assumed to belong to this category. |
